AUSTRALIAN MINERS.
ATTIUTUDE OF FEDERATION
Received December 22, 1.5 p-m. SYDNEY, Dec. 22. Although there are 500 unemployed miners in the Lithgow district who are willing to work, the Miners 1 Federation rejected an offer of the Australian Iron and Steel Company to give temporary employment to at least 100 of these men. The secretary of the federation stated to-day that the proposal could not be entelrtaintained, asi it would involve a breach of union principles.
