CARGO STEAMER LOST.

(Australian Press Association. —United fipnrippi VANCOUVER, Dec. 3, The British cargo steamer Chief Maguilla, sank on Sunday while being towed to Dutch Harbour. The crew of eight officers and 32 Chinese were taken aboard the Japanese steamer Yttgen Maru. The cargo was valued at half a million dollars, and the vessel at half the same amount. The Chief Maguilla was bound for Shanghai from British Columbia with lumber and grain. The vessel became disabled in the disastrous storm of last week.
