REMARKABLE DEVELOPMENT. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 3. A former Auckland resident, who has been living in Western Australia for the past ten years, Mr W.. H. Derry, arrived from Vancouver by tho Niagara and will spend two months iu New Zealand before returning to Perth. Mr Derry said that he had the greatest faith in Western Australia which was developing in a remarkable way. As an instance, a property in Hay' Street, Perth, which two years ago was sold for £60,000, was resold this year for £140,000, and these were not inflated values.
