The election of producers’ reprosnotativo on tho New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board for the Canterbury, Nelson and Marlborough provincial districts, results as follows : Brash, T. C. (Wellington) retiring member 120 Gilbort, A. (Stoko) ... .. 76 Dickor, J. (Tasman) ... ... ... 63 For tho Hawke’s Bay-Wellington seat on the board, Mr A. M. Robertson (Hastings), tho retiring member, was returned unopposed. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, Sopt. 5. Tho wool sales of tho first series havo concluded. Tho second series will commence on September 17. Competition was well distributed, and the market . unchanged, values being firmly maintained at the best point of recent sales. Shorter doubtful-yielding fleece wools are still irregular. Satisfactory clearances wero made. Groa6y Merino sold to 26d. LONDON TALLOW SALES. (Australian Press Association). LONDON, Sopt. 5. At the tallow sales, 644 casks were offered, and 210 sold. Good mixed was 3d easior; other sorts were unchanged. There was no demand for good mutton and beef.
