PROBABLE DURING WEEK-END
IMPROVING WEATHER PROSPECTS.
(By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 6. Thero is a prospect of the weather in the Tasman Sea improving sufficiently to give the aviators a chance to make tho flight during the week-end. The roport of the Government meteorologist, Dr. Kidson, which was sent to Squadron-Leader KingsfordSmith to-day is as follows:
“The cyclone is now centred southeast of Christchurch. Expect strong south-west winds to gale® over the eastern Tasman and New Zealand, with cloudy, showery weather. “The conditions should improve considerably by to-moiTow evening.”
