BOUNTIES PAID.
INDUSTRIES IN AUSTRALIA.
Received Septemebr 6, 9.50 a.m. CANBERRA, Sept. 6. The Minister of Trade and Customs announced to-day that £789,187 was paid last year by the Federal Government in bounties for the support of Australian industries. Almost twothirds of this amount was paid to winemakers, while iron and steel interests received £243,628.
