Tiio fourtn series of tire championship was fired on Monday night when again a good average score was maintained, C. Page and G. Shelley tying with a good total of 136, being closely followed by three other members with 135. Following aro the detailed scores: —C. Page 68, 68, 136; G. Shelley 63, 68, 136; B. Salmons 67, 68, 135; C. Simpson. 67, 68, 135; H. Barlow 67, 68. 135; H. Allbee 62, 70, 132; J. Griffiths 69, 63, 132; F. Lewis 66, 65, 131; J. McAvenue 68, 63, 131. On Thursday evening a team will journey to Awahuri to defend the Jones five-aside shield; a car leaving at seven o’clock.
