UNEVEN HEMS.

Nothing looks uglier than a. frock longer at the back than the front which shows the wrong side of its material. Some, of course, have a perfectly harmless wrong side, hut some are hideous. Some of the patterned chenilles have what appears to bo a very cottony back and the sight of this spoils the front view very often of a pretty frock. Ono charming model of black taffetas, embroidered uith flowers of green and orange, had its uneven skirt lined with green to match a big flat bow of green on the hip and- with it were worn green court shoes of satin.
