INQUIRIES CONCLUDED,

AUCKLAND, Aug. 22. Tho inquiries into the ruin of the Maui Pomare’s banana cargo have practically concluded. Since the ship arrived the refrigerating machinery has been kept running satisfactorily, the hold temperature being maintained at a level well below that effective for storage requirements.
