NEW REGULATIONS.

MEDICAL TREATMENT.

Per Press Association,

CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 22. Arising out of the recent inquiry held by the Hospital Board regarding for dealing with nurses who are sick the death of a nurse new regulations were adopted by tho board to-day. Tho hospital committee reported having fully considered the suggestion mado by a special meeting of the board that an experienced doctor bo appointed to examine all nurses periodically and prescribe in cases of illness. Tho committee recommended that the medical superintendent examine all tho nurses on tho staff at intervals of not more than six months, and that all nurses reporting sick shall be seen by the superintendent who shall bo responsible for their treatment.
