COUNTERFEIT NOTES.
DETECTED IN CIRCULATION,

AUCKLAND, Aug. 14
Counterfeit bank notes have been detected in circulation in To Awamutu. One shopkeeper has had two such notes tendered to him. They are ostensibly pound notes and are considered failimitations.
