Hancox, stated that he wished to place on record the valuable servioes rendered by Messrs F. D. Ellis, D. Thwaites and D. Morgan, and by Messrs H. F. Gabites and J. Mason in carrying on the art classes during the past six months.

Sir Mark Sheldon was a passenger by the Maheno, which arrived at Wellington from Sydney yesterday morning. He sailed later in the day by the Maunganui for San Francisco. Sir Mark Sheldon was Commissioner for the Australian Commonwealth in the United States in 1921 and 1922.' He was an Australian representative at the League of Nations Assembly at Geneva In 1922, and at the Imperial Economic Conference in London m 1925.
