MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING.

In the absence of the president, Mr ,T C Young, Mr T. R. Lees presided over the fortnightly meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu Football Association last evening . There were also present Messrs J. Dick, H. Kempson and H. J. Simmons (secretary). . , It was decided not to take any action in connection with tho Hawke s Bay Association’s complaint against the New Zealand Council as it was considered that it did not concern tho Manawatu Association which had always been fairly treated by tho council. There appeared to be some misundeistanding, but the committee had not had sufficient information to adopt any definite attitude. Entries for the senior knock-out competition were received from I 1 lock House, R.S.A. and St. Andrew for the junior from Rangers, F ock House and R.S.A. Rangers and Flock House were drawn to play on August 25 Advice was received that a sixth grade team from Trentham would visit Palmerston North next Saturday and it was decided to match them with the primary division representatives. The Wellington Association wrote granting Tarrant’s transfer. , A request for a match was received from the Wanganui Junior Football Association.—lt was decided to endeavour to arrange both senior and junior' games with Wanganui at Palmerston North on September 1. It was agreed to devote the. takings from Saturday’s games, all of which, excepting the Flock House v. R.S.A. junior match, will be played at North Street, to the New Zealand Council s funds. Tho fixtures are as follow: — Senior.—R.S.A. v. Flock House; Athletic v. St. Andrew’s. Junior. —R.S.A. v. Tlock House (at Flock House). Primary.—Manawatu v. Trentham. A proposal that endeavours be made to obtain the next North Island prirnary tournament for Palmerston North was lost, the billeting involved being considered too large an order for the local body.
