EXPORTS AND IMPORTS,
(Australian Press Association.) Received August 14, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 13. British trade returns are as follow: — Imports increase £2,086,000, exports £4,764,000; re-exports decreased £l,229,000. Tho principal increases were grain and flour £829.000, meat £933,000, dutiable food and drink £7bo,OUU, raw cotton £2,014,000. . The principal increases m exports were: Cotton yarns and manufactures £837,000, vehicles £2,133,000. i Tho principal decreases in imports were: Wood timber £16,668,000, wool £1,063,000, rubber £1,137,000. Tho principal decreases in exports were: iron and steel manufactures £899,000.
