SPIRITED INTO CANADA. MONTREAL, July 20. Portion of one of the greatest contractor’s graft payments over investigated in New York was traced hero to-day, when a safe deposit box was located which appears to contain £600,000. J. M. Phillips was indicted in New York in connection with the huge sewer scandal, and his relatives appear to have made a tremendous effort to get the money out of the United States. Detectives uncovered the defosit in Montreal under the name of 'rancis Phillips. .
