rangitikei racing club. (From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, July 3. A meeting of tho committee of tho Rangitikoi Racing Club was held in Bulls on Monday evening, there being present Messrs J. H. Perrett (chairman), J. E. Walker, F. J. Mansell, R. Mackay, D. W. Wilson, F. O. Bailey, A. W. Anion,- G. H. Archer, Jas. McKelvie, E. A. Caldow, J. B. Bradley and W. S. Penny. Leave /of absence was granted to Messrs J. B. Johnston and J. H. Whisker. \ A. letter was received from the Wanganui District Committee regarding tho admission of ladies to racecourses. The club decided to support the deputation waiting on tho Minister of Internal Affairs with regard to tho reduction of racing taxation. The Auckland Provincial Country Clubs Association wrote in connection with jockeys and trainers’ licenses. Messrs J. H. Perrett and Jas. McKelvio wero appointed to wait on tho dates committee in support of tho Rangitikei Racing Club’s application for March 21 and 22 as days on which tho annual meeting will bo hold. It was decided to leavo the engagement of a caretaker in the hands of tho course committee. It was decided to order an enlarged photograph of the stewards, which will bo hung in the committeo room. A voto of condolenco was passed with the relatives of tho lato Duncan Campion, reference being made to tho valued services rendered by tho late gentleman to tho club sinco tho year 1877. The farm committee reported that 55 lambs bad been sold for 36s a piece, tho samo having been purchased in February for 16s 6d. Tho large paddock in front of tho fence had been divided and 42 acres of land had been top-dressed with basic slag.
