PRESENT RELATIONS

Received May 24, 11.5 a.m. RUGBY, May 22. v Sir Austen Chamberlain stated m tho House of Commons in reply to a question that the attention oi the i ersian Government had frequently been called to tho desiraliilitv in the.tr own interests of recognising the present Government of Irak and thereby placing their relations with that kingdom on”a normal and friendly footing. Tho Persian Government, however, had not hitherto taken this step.
