(Times Cables.) LONDON. May 23

Commenting on the German elections the Times’s Paris correspondent states: “The first action of any Government which bases its support on the Democrats and Socialists will be to ask for the evacuation of the Rhineland as a logical consequence of the Locarno security pact. Some anxiety is felt as to how the new Government’s financial policy will affect the carrying out of the Dawes plan. Germany’s economic position is exposed to considerable dangers at the hands of a Government liable to strong Socialist pressure.
