Tho Manawatu hounds met ;K Aokautere” ■'yesterday afternoon, but did not attract as largo a field of iollowers as usual. Those who" did ride to hounds enjoyed, three splendid runs. The paddocks, as is always 'die. case in this district, were in splendid order and hounds running fast and true — gave followers a real good uiteriioon’s sport. Yelverton, Captain AYai; > and others. , , \ At Hie conclusion or the hunt, iollowers and spectators adjourned to the public hall, where they were entertained at' afternoon tea by Mesdames Anderson, Gosling and See.t• In proposing a vote of thanks to their hostesses, Air D- B. AlcEwen (deputy master) said it was nineteen years since the wst hum; was held at Aokauterc, and it was pleasing to note that there were relatives of •those who entertained them I■’ I years ago officiating in like capacity foil the present occasion.
