BURGLAR ABSCONDS

The original “cat burglar,” George Enright, alias George McCraig, an Australian, who, on April 4, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment for loitering suspiciously. and who was granted bail pending his appeal, has absconded, and is believed to have gone to America.

The police have a list of his convictions, commencing with a term for burgiarlv at San Francisco, in 1919, under the name of Cyril G. Pegs, after which he served several sentences in other parts of America and then in England.
