LOS ANGELES, May IS Harold Lloyd leads the nation 3 laughter at the spectacle of Lindbergh and Tunney trading secrets on how to avoid crowds.
“When I want to disappear, which is' frequently, I just don’t wear ‘specs’,” said Harold, who claims that the crowds don’t know him from Jack Jones or Mr W. M. Hughes when he. has them_ off.
“I know, of other remedies for acute cases of crowd exposure,” lie added. “Mary Pickford hides behind blue goggles, a veil, and a broad-brimmed liat every time she goes shopping. But perhaps ‘Lindv’ and his Shakespearean friend could get along without a hat and veil.”
Gene Tunney, world heavy-weight champion boxer, and Colonel Chas. Lindbergh*, the noted airman, met by appointment the other day and compared notes on' tile "nuisance of being a liero.
