MANAWATU CLUB’S MEETING

A large number witnessed the Mana. wat-u Whippet Racing Club’s second trials held on the Sportsground yesterday afternoon. - The handicapping of the events was exceedingly good and the racing was of a high standard. The following officials controlled the meeting: —Sub-committee, Messrs Remington, L. Oliver and C. Aitchison; starter, Mr F. Aisher: liandicapper, Mr F. Cousins; steward, Mr P. Dun--calf; judges. Also started: Chips (13yds), Bobette (14 yds). Won by half a length. Time, 9 2-ssecs. Final: Laughing Prince (9yds) 1, Glen Belle (4yds) 2, Nanette (scr) 3.
