ILL-FATED WARATAH.

DEATH OF OWNER. (Australian Press Association.—-United Service). LONDON, May 8. The death is announced of Mr Lund, the owner of the ill-fated Waratah, which was lost in 1909 between Durban and Capetown. Mr Lund was 91 years of age. The disappearance of the Waratah, a splendidly equipped vessel, is looked upon as one of the greatest dramas of modern navigation. The Waratah had sailed from an Australian port for England. She was reported after leaving Durban, but from then on the ship and her passengers completely disappeared.
