FEILDING STOCK SALE.
OPERATIONS AFFECTED BY DRY WEATHER. (Special to "Standard.”) FEILDING, Jan. 20. The continued dry weather somewhat affected operations in the store sheep line at to-day's stock sale at Feilding and the margin between vendors’ and purchasers’ values -was at times wide. The tone of the sale improved, however, as it progressed and sales were made more freely at good rates for fat sheep and wether lambs. Only 60 head of cattle came forward. Prices up to 1 p.m. were as follow: Fat sheep.—Lambs: B. f. 21s, 23s to 27s Id; ewes, 16s, 16s, 17s to 225; 2-tli, 17s, 225, 24s 3d; wethers, 25s Id, 25s 6d, 25s lOd to 27s 3d. Store sheep.—W. f._ wethers lambs: 15s Id, 16s; shorn b. f. lambs, 15s 9d; barely shorn w. f. wether lambs, 14s lid, 15s; woolly lambs, 16s; woolly ewes, 20s 8d; shorn w.f. wether lambs, 13s 6d; 2-th wethers, 225; 2-th ewes were passed in at 25s and 31s. Dairy cattle. —Heifers in milk: £3 2s 6d, £3 7s 6d; fat cows up to £3 ss. Store steers sold up to £3.
