Norman Hoey, a shearing contractor, was shot dead while sitting in his motor car in a street in Inverell. His wife was later charged with his murder. In a statement to the police she said that she had been living apart from him for three years, and as she did not receive justieo in court when she sued her husband for allegedly trying to run her down in his motor car recently, sho had shot him to protect herself. CASE AGAINST ITALIAN. VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY. Received October 18, 10.15 a.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 18. Cricri, the Italian fera cutter, who was charged with the mu.rder of a countryman named Polistina in the Gippsland district, was found not guilty.— Press Association. TYPISTE’S DEATH.
