NEW COINAGE.

PROPOSED FOR PALESTINE. RUGBY, Oct. 15. New coinage will come into operation in Palestine at the beginning of next month. It is based on the pound sterling, divided into one thousand mils, superseding the Egyptian coinage used in Palestine since the British occupation. The present coinage is based on the Egyptian pound, divided into one hundred piastres, each of ten milliemes. —British official wireless.
