TRAVELLERS’ FUNCTION.

LADIES’ NIGHT. The Palmerston North Commercial Travellers’ Association brought its social activities for the winter season to a successful conclusion last evening, when a ladies’ night was held in the Orange Hall, the function taking tho form of a dance. The interior of the hall was very tastefully decorated for the occasion, and the spirit of enjoyment, which almost invariably pervades every gathering with which tho “knights of the road'’ associate themselves, was strikingly in evidence. Dancing to excellent music was continued to a late hour, variety being lent to the proceedings by novelty dances, Mrs Danks and Miss Austin being the successful competitors.
