ANNUAL MEETING. APPRECIATION OF LATE CHAIRMAN’S SERVICES. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Sept. 8. At the annual meeting of tho New Zealand Golf Association, which was held at Hamilton last night, striking tribute was paid to the late chairman, Mr R. C. Kirk. A resolution was passed placing on record his great services to golf and expressing sympathy with his relatives.
It was decided, by 63 votes to 23, that the New Zealand championship meeting be held on the Balmacewan course, Dunedin, provided that it be found satisfactory. The present system of handicapping was criticised, and the council was recommended to adopt the system in vogue in Britain. The old council was re-elected.
