TRANSPORTING STOCK.
BETTER MEANS WANTED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 8. The necessity for better means of transporting stock from Marlborough to Canterbury was stressed by a deputation of South Island members to the Premier and Hon. K. S. Williams today. The complaint made was that there is only one connecting road and that this is greatly used by motorists. Hon. K. S. Williams said that he would like to look over the route to see what could be done.
