ATTEMPTED COUP D’ETAT.
REVOLUTIONARIES TO BE DEPORTED.
LISBON, Aug. 15
The city is quiet, a state of affairs resultant on the Government’s prompt action.
A large majority of the troops requested that the revolutionaries be punished most severolv. Cabinet decided to deport to the colonies all those implicated. Lieutenant Sarmento, who shot at, and wounded, the Finance Minister’s secretary, has been cashiered.—A. and N.Z. cable.
