ARBITRATION COURT.

DRIVERS FOR KAIRANGA COUNTY, Per Press, Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, April 22. In the Arbitration Court Mr B. L. Hammond, the employers’ advocate, replied to remarks made by Mr A. L. Monteith in the course of dissension from a judgment at Palmerston North affecting the Kairanga County Council drivers. Mr Hammond had asserted that the signatures to the petition were obtained by misrepresentation, and because he did not substantiate by sworn evidence, Mr Monteith had characterised the attempt as wild and imaginary. Mr Hammond assured the court that the statement was true, and that the union advocate in the case subsequently admitted that he, could take no exception to it. The court adjourned on the, application of the union advocate, on the ground that the Kairanga award had disorganised the affairs of the local unions., ■ ,
