TRADES UNION BILL.
PROPOSAL DENOUNCED. LONDON, April 6. A Trade Union Congress manifesto denounces the new Trades Union Bill as a violent assault on workers’ rights, and a violent and outrageous denial of the principles and practices to which trades unions have been legally entitled for half a century. “The Bill strikes at the living spirit of trades unionism and must be fought line by. line, inside and outside of Parliament. It is the signal of class war.”—Times.
