BROTHERS’ DUEL
TWENTY-YEAR-OLD LOVE FEUD, MALACCA, STICKS USED. NEW YORK, March 4. Having its origin in their love for the same girl, the feud between the millionaire brothers Edward and Campbell Carrington, which has lasted for over 20 years, flamed into action recently when they engaged in a duel with malacca walking stjeks. Edward is aged 55 and Campbell 52. Up to now honours are about even. Campbell got trounced in the duel and is at present 'in hospital undergoing treatment for. wounds in the head. ' But Edward, in 1920, married the lady who caused all the trouble, and is now being sued by her for separation on the ground of cruelty, which she alleged was inflicted with the same walking stick that caused Campbell’s sore head Edward has countered with a suit against his younger brother for alienation of his wife’s affections.
Campbell’s reply to this is an application to have Edward detained in an asylum as demented. Both brothers are lawyers of considerable standing and are * directors and stockholders in several Targe corporations.
