DOMINION LOANS
PROPOSED SUSPENSION. MR AMERY DOES NOT AGREE. Received Julv 27, 11.15 a.m. London, July 26. In the House of Commons Sir Frederic Wise asked if Mr L. C. Amery, Secretary for Dominions, would place on the agenda for the Imperial Conference tho suspension of the Trustee Act of 1900 as regards Dominions’ loans for three years owing to the British Government’s largo conversion loans falling due during the coming three years. Mr Amery replied that he certainly would not. He added that the adoption of the suggestion would injure Empire development.—Reuter.
