MEMORIAL CELEBRATIONS. HONOLULU, June 19. Sir Joseph Carruthers, who arrived in tho Aorangi to piesent tho Australian flag to the Pan-Pacific Union from Mr Bruce on Monday, when tho Governor, Air Farrington, will be present, intends to confer with various organisations concerning the Polynesian conference to bo held here in 1928 on tho 150th anniversary of Captain Cook’s discovery of tho group. The proposal includes memorial celebrations, when there will be the assembly of an international fleet in Karakakoa Bay, where Captain Cook was killed. In the following year Sir Joseph Carruthers expects to further the plan for the establishment of the National Park' at the scene of Captain Cook’s death. —A. and N.Z. cable
