DENSE FOGS

CONDITIONS IN SYDNEY,

SERVICES DISORGANISED.

SEVERAL MINOR MISHAPS.; (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received June 22, 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, June 22. The weather conditions prevailing in Sydney this winter have been unprecedented. Since Tuesday last there has been a fog every morning, several of them being of an extraordinary density. In former winters two, even three, fogs occurred on successive days, but the weather, bureau records dating back to 1859 Bo not show a condition similar to that at present existing. Ferry traffic oil the harbour is badly disorganised. Some boats are held up for hours. Thousands of people-, daily arrive late for work. The railway services also have been seriously interrupted. There have been several minor mishaps and collisions but, fortunately, nobody has been injured.
