Tho coal’strike position is unaltered, but it is generally’ expected that tho compulsory conference to be held oil Monday’ will result in a settlement of the trouble.
The restrictions placed on the gas consumers in Sydney resulted in a. reduction of 30 per cent in the gasworks output. With the arrival of a shipment of coal and tho promise of further supplies, the restrictions are being interpreted liberally.—Press Association.
