FOXTON NEWS.

(From Our Own Correspondent!

On Easter Saturday a junior Rugby football team came from Berhampore and played Foxton on the racecourse, ft was a well-contested game and resulted in a win for tho visitors by six points to five. At half-time Foxton were leading 5—3. A curtain-raiser was played between the fourths and Foxton District High School, the fourths winning by nine points to six. In the evening a dinner was held, tho Berhampore captain, in the course of a speech, suggesting that Foxton should journey to Wellington on Juno 3 to play a return match. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the hostesses billeting tho team. A dance was held later in the Masonic Hall, the visiting team being tho guests of the club.
