WEDDING
REES—GUY. The marriago was solemnised this afternoon of Una. tfccond daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Guy, of Main street, Palmerston North, and Leslio Avilliam, eldest son of Mr W. J. Rees, of Bunnythorpe. Tho ceremony, which took place at All Saints’ Church, was performed by Canon W. Fancourt. Mr J. Holmes Runnicles presided at tho organ, lhe bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in cream georgette and marocain with opalescent sequin overdress. A Brussels lace veil caught at the side with orange blossoms was also worn and the bride carried a shower bouquet. Tho bridesmaids, Misses Isabel Elley (Palmerston North) and Florence Rees (Bunnythorpe), the latter a sister of the bridegroom, wrore cream georgette with goddets tucked with cream insertion and trimhied with flowers of georgette and silver tissue. Veils were worn en suite. Tho bride’s mother wore a navy ensemble suit and black hat with gold trimmings. Mrs Rees (Bunnythorpe) wore a grey gabardine frock trimmed with braid to match. Tho best man was Mr Max Guy (Wellington), a brother of the bride, and Mr Ernest Rees (Bunnythorpe) brother of the bridegroom, was groomsman. Following the ceremony a reception was held in a local hall by the bride’s parents. The happy couple were to leave later for the north, the bride’s travelling costume being an ensemble suit of Rosemary tweed with hat. shoes, and stockings to -match. Their future home will be at Ngaio.
Tho many and useful presents received by the bride and bridegroom included several cheques and gifts from tho staff of Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame. Ltd., with which the bride was associated until recently.
