EXTENSIVE DAMAGE.
CYCLONE IN NEW SOUTH WALES SYDNEY. April 6. A violent cyclone at Trangie latj this afternon demolished a number of buildings, causing extensive damage. Two women were buried beneath the ruins of their homes and were critically injured. Over 50 people are homeless. —Press Association. RAIN FOLLOWS GALE. TAVO CHURCHES DESTROYED. Received April 7, 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, April 7. Torrential rain followed the tornado which struck 'Trangie, ruining furniture and other effects in unroofed buildings. The tornado could be seen approaching half an hour before it struck the town After levelling a number of buildings in its path the storm veered and missed the main business portion. Tho Church of England and tho Roman Catholic Church, and tho Masonic Hall were among the places razed to tho ground—Press Association.
