Another discovery claimed on behalf of Sir J. C. Bose, Professor Emeritus of the Presidency College, Calcutta, is that the action of cobra venom on tho heart beat of plants casts much light on the action of the venom on animal hearts. Professor Bose will leave shortly to give a series if lectures before the British and Continental Universities demonstrating iiis discoveries. He will give a special scries of lectures before the Academy of Sciences at Brussels, at the special invitation of King Albert.
