SOLD FOR A SONG.
CANADIAN GOVERNMENT SHIPS
OTTAWA, Alarch 16. In the past lour years 15 vessels of tho Canadian Government merchant marine have'been sold, in some cases for little more than a fraction of their cost.
In reply to questions in the House, the Government disclosed that the Canadian Engineer, costing £200,000. was sold for £10,000; the Canadian Adventurer, Canadian Warrior, Canadian Trader, Canadian Sower, and Canadian Signaller, each costing from £120,000 to £160,000, brought £BOOO a piece.
