BURGLARS IN ASHBURTON.

CRICKETERS ROBBED. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON, April 3. Burglars who entered a private hotel early yesterday morning robbed two visiting Riccarton cricketers, Messrs Robertson and Gurnsoy, of bank notes totalling £ls, which were left in a coat hanging in a bedroom. The office of the proprietor of the hotel was entered through a window, but tho thieves were apparently disturbed, as the desk was not opened. This is tile second case of burglary, as oti Wednesday night the manager’s office at a pictu’re theatre was entered, but the thieves were disappointed, the days takings having been removed.
