NELSON v. WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, April 2. A weak team of Nelson cricketers commenced a match against Wellington representatives to-day, Nelson batting twelve men. The first innings realised 112, the highest scores being thoso of W. Max (31), J. Newman (19), Biggar (14), Airey (11) and Glover (l 0). Bowling: Badcock took •5 for 34, McGirr 2 for 14; liollings 3 for 32.

At 4.45 Wellington went to the wickets, Hiddleston and Baker opening for the home team. Hiddleston was badly missed in slips before he had opened his account. At five o’clock the score was 15 for the loss of no wickets.
