EXCITING SCENES.

LONDON UNEMPLOYED. POLICE DISPERSE CROWD. SEVERAL ARRESTS MADE. LONDON, March 30. There were exciting scenes in a demonstration of East End unemployed which was organised by Communists. The crowd attempted to march to Parliament, but was diverted at Hyde Park, where it sang the “Internationale.”

When the demonstrators attempted to march back to the East End the police broke them up, seized a red flag, and effected several arrests.

At one time 100 police were struggle with 300 demonstrators at tho Marble Arch, and in tiie course of it batons were drawn. Mounted police were called in to disperse the crowd.—• A. and N.Z. cable.
