MERCHANT SHIP ROBBED. MEN DISGUISED AS .PASSENGERS. Received April 1, 10.45 a.m. HONG KONG, April 31,. The China merchant steamer Hsingkong, when en route from Shanghai to Canton, was pirated by a gang of armed men disguised as passengers. They herded and bound all tho other passengers, stripped them of money and valuables, and loaded the loot, valued at about £12,000, into fishing boats awaiting them near Bias Bay, a notorious pirate base near Hong Kong Many passengers were emigrants from America with substantial savings. —Sydney Sun cable.
