PAH 1 ATI'A, April 1. At tho Magistrate’s Court, L. F. Yowen, for tbe conversion of moneys from his late employer, a butcher at Foatlierston, was admitted to probation for three years and also ordered to make restitution of £SO at the rate of £1 fier week. G. E. Oakley for theft of an article from a dance, was admitted to probation for 12 months.

R. Wills, for selling tickets in an illegal lottery, the tickets having been senu to him from Australia by _ the proinotor of a bogus lottery, was fined a nominal sum with costs.
