OIL COMPANY.
WORKS AT MIRAMAR. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 25. Tho official ceremony in connection with the opening of tho brick intallation of tho British Imperial Oil Company of Now Zealand took place at Miramar to-day. Tho Primo Minister declared tho installation open. “It seems to mo,” said Mr Coates, “that it is desirable that wo should create confidence in those who have capital in others parts of tho world to coino here, and that wo should assure them that they will liavo a fair and squaro deal if they are prepared to meet tho requirements of our Dominion. May I say that the British Imperial Oil Company has given us good service. Previous companies gave us excellent service, too. So long as companies aro prepared to givo good service and at the right price, the people of New Zealand will readily assist in tlio carrying on of industries of this description.”
Among those present were several members of Parliament and officers of tho company., including some from Australia.
