CATHOLIC CHURCH.

TRANSFERS NOTIFIED

Following the annual retreat of tho Catholic clergy, a number of transfers have been notified.

Father Doolaghtv, of Palmerston North, goes to Taihapo as parish priest and will bo roplaoed by Father Masterson, of Newtown.

Father Lynch, who has been stationed at Palmerston North for tho past 12 months, goes to Levin, vice Father Fitzgibbon, who loaves shortly for a holiday trip to England.

Father Harnett, at ono time stationed here, has been transferred to Foilding, Father Cahill, of that town, going to Stratford as parish priest, to succeed Father Maples, who died recently. The appointments date from the first week in February.
