PROPOSED ABOLITION OF COUNCIL. CONDEMNED BY NEW MEMBER. SYDNEY, Jan. 20. ; Tho Legislative Assembly, by 45j votes to 41, discharged the Electoral' Bill from the order paper. Mr Lang, replying to Air Bavin, said he had no intention of flouting the people. The Council would be ! abolished now or later without any ; referendum. When tho Legislative Council met the galleries were crowded and tho air electrical. Air Willis immediately moved for leave to introduce the Abolition Bill. Air Alam, one of the now Labour appointees, declared that Labour would bo blundering by abolishing tho Chamber.—Press Association!
